Dear Fellow Snowseekers,

This year’s winner of the Spring Bash $2000.00 dollar grand prize was William Yakin. The day was absolutely perfect, we had a great turnout, the food again was delicious, and we were able to sell all the tickets that were unsold at the start of the bash.  It was really nice to see everyone pitching in and helping with this event. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members who helped make this year bash a great success.  I can’t wait to hear the final report from the event.

This month we are trying something new. The weekend of May 15-16, we will be offering our clubhouse for accommodation to outsiders that are in the area for the Marionville VFD spring Tour De Forest.  This event will be structured a lot like our July bike run. Please see the attached flyer and let your family and friends know of this next event.  More details will be discussed at the meeting Thursday night.

The Good Friday shoot this year, again was a big turnout, everybody had a great time even though it was a little wet this year, thanks Dean.

I would like take this time to welcome new members Stan and Lisa Grubbs.   Please introduce yourself the next time you see them and make them feel welcomed.

One of our founding members, Dale Kline, is out of the hospital, has started rehab, and will be heading home this week. He still has a lot of rehab to do at home, Dale will have home health nurses, PT, OT, and speech here at home. It’s hard to believe he has been in the hospital and rehab since March 22, Ginny says he is feeling much better, but is still weak. Thanks you all for your prayers, cards, phone calls and visits.  After 60 years I think I’ll keep him, says Ginny, and YOSHIE (their dog) misses him.

Congratulation also goes out to Michael Steinmetz who is a new grandfather, his daughter Cheyanne gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Nico 7lbs 1oz.

This months’ meeting is our election meeting, we will have two open spots on our executive committee, the secretary and treasurer positions will need replacements, Loretta and Sandy have put in more than their allotted time of three years. They have done a great job and will be missed, (maybe they could switch positions and do another three years). We will also be voting on all the positions. That is four executive officers and five board members.  Please keep in mind that these are the people that oversee your club, make decisions, and keep us making right turns instead of left turns.

The nice weather is finally here and it’s time to get out and enjoy it!

Sincerely
Norb
