Dear Fellow Snowseekers,

This has to be one of my favorite times of the year, with the leaves changing colors, the temperatures cooling down, and snow in the forecast for the states out west and up north. It won’t be long now until we will be planning daily and weekend trips snowmobiling in our area.
If anybody is looking for something to do this weekend the PSSA Motorsports show is being held in Lebanon, Pa. on the 27, 28, and 29th. At the show, there will be the new 2017 sleds out on display, vendors making great deals on clothing, trailers, parts, and much more. A lot of the state clubs and out of state venues will have booths with maps and details of their trail systems. If you have never been to one of the shows they are worth the drive over.

Our work weekend and Thanksgiving Dinner this year is set for November 5th at the Clubhouse. Anyone who attends is asked to bring a covered dish or desert. As always bring your tools, work gloves, chain saws, and whatever else you may need to get our camp ready for the next few months. This is also a good time to clean and maintain your rooms upstairs. Dave and Scott with buildings and grounds will have a list of chores for us to do that weekend. It’s one of those times of the year to get together for a great weekend, hope to fill the clubhouse.

Our club will be operating a groomer and drag this year to maintain some of the local trail system. Because of funding cuts this year, the State Forestry is loaning us their second groomer that they will not be using. We will have to work out some small details on repairs, fuel, and storage of the unit until we can once again apply and get our state grant money. The State Forestry is only going to groom the upper section of trail #1 with their other larger groomer; the rest of the trail system is going to be maintained by local clubs.

A big thanks goes out to Lori again, who has secured our game of chance license for the spring bash next year. Scott will be getting the tickets printed and may have them ready for our next meeting. Things are different this year and your ticket sales will affect yearly dues, you should have enough time to sell your tickets or find another member to sell them for you. This is our big fund raiser and we all need to do our part to make it a success.

50/50 winner was Jack and he donated his winnings to Tracy Charlier

See you at the meeting,
Norb
